This being my first internet journal entry (on wordpress), I found it fitting to come across this page to start off fresh for 2007.  I decided to take a casual approach to making resolutions this year, and make more of a list of things I’d like to accomplish.  I plan to complete a list of 100 things I’d like to do before I die, and 10 of those things I’d like to do this year.  The first 10 I’ve decided on are as follows:

  1. Sell my 1989 LX Mustang (by summer).
  2. Have all my state fines paid off.
  3. Have one credit card paid off.
  4. Invest in a new professional wardrobe (seriously folks, you have no idea how lacking I am in this department…).
  5. Be prepared to move by January 2008.
  6. Complete the Net+ and A+ certifications.
  7. Begin Tae Kwon Do or Kung Fu.
  8. Become an active volunteer in a girls/womens group that focuses on verbal, sexual, and/or physical abuse.
  9. Learn a form of dancing.
  10. Do something special for my sweetheart.  Not just anything special, but something magnanomous!

So, there you have it folks.  A few of these were inspired by a recent bit of incarceration I did, a once in a lifetime experience never to be repeated (and in my opinion was unjustified by my state as I am simply not a criminal).  I had a lot of time to think and not be bothered and really get the jist of my life thus far and reflect on things I wish I hadn’t done, things I wish I had done, and so on so forth.  I never want to look back again and say “Damn, I wish I had gone for that!”  Or not be worried about being foolish and making mistakes, however being responsible and level-headed of course.  For the longest time I’ve been rather introverted and low on confidence, I think, because of my upbringing up until about age 13.  Everything after, all the choices I made after then, produced the results I got and it’s become a mess!  Anywho, I have a job I love, a guy I love and adore, I certainly have my health (I stopped smoking November 2006, yay!), and it’s all uphill from here baby.

I look foward to checking out others ideas for the New Year, and wish you all the best of luck in all your endeavors!  Remember, treat others as you’d like to be treated……

Cheers,
